My name is Tristan Cote. I compete with the University of Calgary Dino’s Varsity Swim Team. I specialize in the 400 IM, (All four strokes). I strongly believe in the power that technique has on ones ability to swim. I began swimming competitively in the United States at 5 years old where this was a major part of the program.
I have competed for Canada at many international competitions including; 2008, 2010, 2012 North American Challenge Cup (Canada, USA, Canada), 2013 Jr. World Championships (Dubai, United Arab Emirates), 2014 Jr Pan Pacific Championships (Hawaii), and the 2015 FISU World Universiade Games (Ganjui, South Korea).
In addition to working with Erin, I have assisted in summer camps at the Etobicoke Swim Club. My goal is for everyone to learn how to swim and I believe that the Just Keep Swimming program is a key step in this direction. Swimming is not only a fun sport but an important life skill to have. Not only does swimming teach self awareness with ones body, but also dedication, and perseverance.

ALicia Gabilondo

My name is Alicia Gabilondo and I am a Bachelor of Health Sciences graduate from the University of Calgary. I have always loved the water and have taught swimming for 6 years as well as instructed aquafit and underwater spin class. One of the reasons I love the water and wish to inspire others to love it is that it can both energize and calm. I hope to soon go to school for physical therapy and be able to use that knowledge for water rehabilitation.
