Just keep Swimming
Dedicated to teaching children and adolescents with both neurological and developmental disabilities how to Swim Confidently and Comfortably, play Safely and Exercise in the water.
I am very excited to offer accesible and functional swim instruction for children and adolescents with both neurological and developmental disabilities. I am happy to assist them in progressing their skills while having fun in the water!
Swimming is a great form of exercise that offers the chance to gain cardiovascular endurance, flexability and coordination.
It is my hope to share my love of water, everyone of any ability should have the opportunity to learn how to swim, gain safety skills and confidnece in the water!
Swim SKILLS
Swim skills is intended for children 6-10/11 years old.
Children will work one on one with an aide under Erin's Direction.
Goal - To gain confidence in abilty in the water and introductory safety and exercise swimming skills.
The program takes place in the teach pool at talisman centre
Timing=Thursdays 7:00-7:30 and 7:30-8:00pm
AND Sunday afternoons at the Vecova Rec Centre from 1-2pm
Swim FIT
Intended for children/ adolecents ages 10/11+ who are able to complete 50meters of swimming independently.
This is a "workout-based" (not play based) program.
Goal - Swimmers will have the opportunity to swim both one on one and in group sessions to enhance swimming skills and endurance workout levels.
Swim fit will run from 7:30-8:30pm at the talisman center on tuesday and/or thursday pm.
Private lessons
If you wish to book private lessons with Erin or a Just Keep Swimming trained instructor/aide this is possible and can be done at different aquatic facilities.
Please contact Erin to set up possible dates and timing.
30/45/60 minute sessions will be available
Most private lessons will be held on Sunday afternoons between 2:00-5:00pm OR 7:00pm throughout the week at Vecova Rec Cntre or talisman centre.
